Kika Vest by Olga Buraya-Kefelian // featuring AVFKW Annapurna
A few years back, we were lucky to collaborate with Olga Buraya-Kefelian for our . As you might know, the Pro-Verbial Club is a celebration of shawls and the numerous forms they make take, naturally-dyed yarn, and knitting. Every year, four designers are featured, and they create an exclusive design for the club.
Kika, today's featured pattern, is Olga's Pro-Verbial design and her take of how versatile a "shawl" can be. And we love it. Kika is such a wearable garment - vest, scarf, wrap, or cropped outer layer. She originally knit it out AVFKW Annapurna in the club colorway Tangerine. We are so happy to release this happy Summer-y color to you today.
More great news - Olga has reknit Kika in , and we couldn't be more impressed with the result. Neighborhood Fiber Co. yarn features such rich, saturated color as well as gorgeous subtle shades -- the pairing is terrific.
The Kika Vest has the ability to transform into a vest, scarf, wrap, or cropped outer layer. The result of this transformation provides the wearer with numerous options for styling. Worked with a custom stitch pattern that creates differently textured looks on each side - dimensional square basket weave on one and diamond eyelet on the other - this knit is reversible.
